Connor Jessup

'Connor Jessup' (qv) was born in Toronto, Canada. An actor since the age of eleven, he is best known for his role as Ben Mason in TNT's sci-fi series _Falling Skies (2011)_ (qv) and as Taylor Blaine in the Emmy-winning ABC drama _American Crime (2015)_ (qv). Other notable roles include an early stint on the Discovery Kids series _The Saddle Club (2001)_ (qv), and acclaimed lead performances in _Blackbird (2012)_ (qv) and _Closet Monster (2015)_ (qv).Jessup is also a writer, director and producer. He directed the documentary _A.W. A Portrait of Apichatpong Weerasethakul (2018)_ (qv) for the Criterion Collection, and has written and directed several shorts -- including the ghost drama _Boy (2015)_ (qv) and the fantasy drama _Lira's Forest (2017)_ (qv).
