Peter Charles Matthews

Born in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia), Peter moved to South African to study Graphic Design at the Durban University of Technology. He was the founding partner and Executive Creative Director of Matthews and Charter, Ogilvy - rated in the top three most creative agencies in South Africa by Financial Mail and named South African Agency of the Year by Readers Digest.Peter has directed and produced hundreds of TV commercials winning many local and international awards for his creative work including Cannes, New York and London International. After 15 years as founder and creative head of M & C, Peter sold his shares to Ogilvy and in 2000 started Peter Matthews Pictures.Feature Films: 'Oil on Water'. It follows six township youths whose lives are transformed through the power of yoga, and explores what ripple effect this has in poverty-stricken, HIV and crime-ridden communities in which they live.
