Florin Serban

'Florin Serban' (qv) (1975, Romania) studied at Columbia University in New York and holds a Master's Degree in Film Directing. He also graduated from the Romanian National University for Theater and Film in 2002 and received an MA in the Philosophy of Culture and Hermeneutics in 1998. During his studies he wrote and directed short films and documentaries, and won numerous scholar awards and scholarships. His directorial debut feature film If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle (2010) received the Silver Bear - Grand Prize of the Jury, and the Alfred Bauer Award for innovation in cinema at 2010 Berlinale. He is now working on his second feature film project Through my Veins and is the director and coordinating professor at The Acting School in Bucharest, Romania.::'Florin Serban' (qv)
