Rachel Feldman

'Rachel Feldman' (qv) is a director and writer in series television, feature films, and web series. She recently directed the CBS series "Blue Bloods" and the pilot and first season of the new series "The Baxters" for MGM. She's helmed drama for ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, SYFY, Disney Channel, Lifetime, and Nickelodeon, and written features to Dean Devlin, Ridley Scott, Jon Avnet, and Jodie Foster. Feldman is the recipient of the Ravenal Grant and an Athena List winner for her feature screenplay "Lilly," based on the life of fair pay activist Lilly Ledbetter. Her pilot "Kinks" won the WGA Writer's Access Project, the WGA Drama Queens Award for best spec pilot, and is a Sundance Lab finalist.Feldman has been an outspoken activist regarding gender parity in Hollywood and chaired the DGA Women's Steering Committee. She holds an MFA from NYU in directing, where her graduate thesis film won top awards and garnered grants from The AFI, The NEA, The Jerome Foundation, Kodak, Panavision, and Technicolor. Her BA is from Sarah Lawrence College and Parsons School of Design.Among Rachel's many credits as a prolific child actor, she voiced the character of Lucy in Peanuts animation. Years later, she enjoyed a stint on Madison Avenue as a junior art director/copywriter at Young & Rubicam.
