Syed Wazir Ali

'Syed Wazir Ali' (qv) (1930- 1980s) was a film producer-director in the Pakistani film industry. He was born in 1930 in Ajmer, Rajasthan, British India. His father, Syed Abbas Ajmeri, was also an actor and film producer in British India. His more well-known younger brother Syed Nazir Ali, who went with the screen name 'Rattan Kumar' (qv) (1941-2016) had huge success as a child-actor first in India and later in Pakistan. 'Rattan Kumar' (qv) and 'Syed Wazir Ali' (qv) made many movies together in Pakistan starting with film _Bedari (1957)_ (qv), _Nagin (1959)_ (qv), _Clerk (1960)_ (qv) and _Aladdin Ka Beta (1960)_ (qv). His films, made after 1960, did not do well at the box-office and he faded away as a producer-director. He died in the 1980s in Lahore, Pakistan.::Nisar Ahmad Grewal
