Jonathan Failla

'Jonathan Failla' (qv) is an American actor from New York, living in Magdeburg, Germany. He has a colourful acting and directing career, starting with underground theatre in East Berlin before the fall of the Berlin Wall to the present day. He's known in Germany for the role Marc Boland in the Amazon Prime series You Are Wanted (2018), starring Matthias Schweighöfer. In 2019, Jonathan played the role of mafia boss, Santi Calboni, in 3 feature films, Mister Mayfair, A Song to Kill For and Shooting Paul, all directed by Philippe Martinez, starring Armand Assante and Steven Bauer. Then Failla went on to act with Paul Giamatti in the feature film, Gunpowder Milkshake, directed by Navot Papushado. He topped 2019 off by playing Time reporter Dick Evans with Anya Taylor-Joy in the hit Netflix series, The Queen's Gambit, directed by Scott Frank. In 2020, Failla played a recurring role in the RTL television series Glauben, directed by Daniel Prochaska, starring Peter Kurth. Soon after, he acted in the feature film Uncharted, directed by Ruben Fleischer, starring Tom Holland.
