John V. Soto

Writer/Director 'John V. Soto' (qv) has written and directed five feature films to date including Avarice (2022), The Gateway (2018), The Reckoning (2014), Needle (2011) and Crush (2009). John's Sci Fi Thriller The Gateway was selected for key Science Fiction festivals including The Boston Sci Fi Film Festival, FilmQuest and The London Sci Fi Film Festival where it won the audience award. John won Best Director for The Gateway at the Austin Revolution Film Festival and also won Best Director at the British Independent Film Festival for his film crime thriller The Reckoning. His horror film, Needle, was selected for Screamfest while his supernatural Thriller, Crush, was selected for the Shanghai Film Festival.::Filmscope assistant
