Lu Elrod

'Lu Elrod' (qv) is a versatile character actress who has appeared in more than a dozen feature films over the past three decades. Her memorable film appearances include: _The Seduction of Joe Tynan (1979)_ (qv), _High School High (1996)_ (qv), _Wag the Dog (1997)_ (qv), _The Big Lebowski (1998)_ (qv), _Primary Colors (1998)_ (qv), _Freaky Friday (2003)_ (qv), and _Kicking & Screaming (2005)_ (qv). She has also appeared in a variety of television programs including _General Hospital (1972)_ (qv), _Hill Street Blues (1981)_ (qv), _Superior Court (1986)_ (qv), and _Dream On (1990)_ (qv).Dr. 'Lu Elrod' (qv) is a Professor Emeritus of Music at California State University, Los Angeles and continues to teach and play an active role in fund-raising for music scholarships at Cal State LA. She has written a number of professional articles and videotape programs for instructional television on music education and on building a positive self-concept through music. Dr. Elrod has been a Metropolitan Opera Regional Auditions finalist and is a critically acclaimed opera singer and expert in music education.She is listed in national directories, including Who's Who in America, International Who's Who in Music, and is a multiple year honoree in Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
