Brian Avers

'Brian Avers' (qv) is an actor, writer and director, best known for _NCIS: Los Angeles (2009)_ (qv), _Gigantic (2008)_ (qv), and _The Weekend (2013)_ (qv). He has performed in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway premieres, including The Father (opposite 'Frank Langella' (qv), 2016 Tony Winner for Best Actor), Rock N Roll by 'Tom Stoppard' (qv), The Lieutenant of Inishmore by 'Martin McDonagh' (qv), Poor Behavior by 'Theresa Rebeck' (qv), Completeness by Itamar Moses, and most recently Brian performed opposite Kerry Washington in American Son, directed by Kenny Leon. Brian received an MFA in Acting from New York University in 2006, where he was one of only twelve artists to be awarded the A.V. Global Fellowship of the Arts. Previously, he attended Marymount Manhattan College (BFA in Acting), and the British American Drama Academy in London. Shortly after leaving NYU, Brian was cast as Edgar in the Public Theater's production of King Lear, opposite 'Kevin Kline' (qv) and 'Logan Marshall-Green' (qv). In 2013, Brian created and directed micro-budget indie comedy _The Weekend (2013)_ (qv), which was developed in one week, and shot in only three and a half days.
