Meredith Alfred Lytton, known professionally as 'Richard John Taylor' (qv) (born 15 June 1985) is a British author, restaurateur and award-winning filmmaker. His works include the films _Acceptance (2012)_ (qv) and _Leslie (2013)_ (qv). Also a passionate photographer, he studied at Brooklands College in Weybridge, Surrey where he was awarded a Distinction in BTEC Media and Film Studies.He started his career as a runner at various post production houses in London's Soho including Cut & Run, The Machine Room and Rushes, before becoming a trailer editor on films including _Rise of the Footsoldier (2007)_ (qv). His first professional directing job was the indie film _Fifteen (2012)_ (qv) which he also wrote and produced starring _Hazell (1978)_ (qv) leading man 'Nicholas Ball' (qv).Richard's second feature _Acceptance (2012)_ (qv) starred BAFTA winner 'Chris Langham' (qv), Berlin Bear winner 'Crissy Rock' (qv) and long term friend and collaborator, _EastEnders (1985)_ (qv) legend 'Leslie Grantham' (qv), with whom he went on to make two short films; _The Factory (2013)_ (qv) and _Leslie (2013)_ (qv).In 2018, he wrote and directed _The Krays: Dead Man Walking (2018)_ (qv) starring 'Rita Simons' (qv), 'Marc Pickering' (qv), 'Leslie Grantham' (qv) and 'Nicholas Ball' (qv). Released by Sony Pictures on September 10th 2018, it was the biggest first week on DVD of any non-theatrical British film that year.On March 22nd 2019, his film _Muse (2019)_ (qv) which he wrote and directed was released exclusively on Amazon Prime. He additionally won the London International Motion Picture Award 2019 for Best Cinematography for his work on the film.He lists _Casablanca (1942)_ (qv), _Lawn Dogs (1997)_ (qv), _Hard Candy (2005)_ (qv) and _Edward Scissorhands (1990)_ (qv) among his favorite films. He attributes a backstage tour of Granada Television Studios when he was eleven years old with his grandmother as his main inspiration for becoming a film editor.::Hello Princess
