Manuel Concha

Manuel wrote and directed the successful feature film Suedi that broke all records 2021 and became the most-watched feature in Sweden with millions of viewers. Educated at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts with a Masters in Film Direction, Manuel is considered one of the most prominent directors in Scandinavia. His ability to direct mainstream films with an auteurism approach makes him a well-sought director. Manuel debuted with his film Mañana 2008 and his second film Den Enda Vägen (Blind Alley) and it was a critical success in Sweden. With Suedi, a drama-comedy, Manuel was able to show his versatile ability to make films in different genres. Manuel has directed several well-known awarded tv-series such as ALEX (most viewed tv-show 2017), Heder, Bäckström, and Starke Man (nominated for a Swedish Emmy Award).Manuel is born and raised in Malmö, Sweden.
