Norbert Köbli

'Norbert Köbli' (qv) is one of the most prolific and talented young screenwriters in Hungarian cinema, and Chairman of the Hungarian Screenwriters' Association (MFE-HSA).Originally a lawyer, Köbli made a name for himself with his early rom-com involvements: an uncredited rewrite and a creative producer credit on _S.O.S. szerelem! (2007)_ (qv), writing the screenplay for _9 1/2 Dates (2008)_ (qv) and adapting _Made in Hungaria (2009)_ (qv) the stage show for the big screen. Each of these blockbusters, starring his close friend 'Iván Fenyö' (qv), went on to become the year's biggest moneymakers, respectively.After writing for HBO, TV2 and Hungarian National Television, with a script doctoring gig at Sia, Bulgaria, Köbli was able to set-up his dream project _The Exam (2011)_ (qv) with 'Péter Bergendy' (qv) directing and 'János Kulka' (qv) starring. _The Exam (2011)_ (qv) was released in 2011 to rave reviews, with many calling it the best film of the year.As of this writing (early 2012), Köbli is looking for opportunities to work with Fenyö and Bergendy again, as well as trying his hand at writing short films for director 'Zsombor Dyga' (qv)'s _Couch Surf (2014)_ (qv).::Anonymous
