Jeff Dawn

As of 2020, Jeff has department headed the make-up departments on about 40 films plus over 300 episodes on several television series. He specializes in action/adventure, futuristic/fantasy, war and period films, including seven with the actor, 'Dwayne Johnson' (qv). Before 'Arnold Schwarzenegger' (qv) became Governor, Jeff department headed 19 of Arnold's films. He has also worked with action greats, 'Bruce Willis' (qv) and 'Sylvester Stallone' (qv). Jeff is the 3rd generation make-up artist in his family. His grandfather, 'Jack Dawn' (qv), a make-up artist for over 35 years was the "Director of Make-up" at MGM studios from 1935 to 1950 and responsible for over 100 films, including _The Wizard of Oz (1939)_ (qv). Jeff's father, 'Robert Dawn' (qv), was a decorated P-38 fighter pilot during WWII. After the war, Robert followed in his fathers footsteps by becoming a make-up artist for the next 35 years. Jeff's uncle, 'Wes Dawn' (qv), also worked in the industry as a make-up artist for approximately 35 years. After graduating from Chapman College film school in 2011 Jeff,s son, 'Patrick Dawn' (qv) started working in the Hawaii and LA film and TV markets.
