Laura Ortiz

Laura Catalina Ortiz was born in Bogota, Colombia. She finished high school early, took up acting and headed to Los Angeles where she now resides. In 2006, she booked a lead role off her very first movie audition for 'Wes Craven' (qv)'s _The Hills Have Eyes (2006)_ (qv). Her performance was nominated for a Chainsaw Award. She followed that with a lead role in _Chillerama (2011)_ (qv) and other big screen roles in _Norbit (2007)_ (qv), _Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)_ (qv), and voicing a character for _Horton Hears a Who! (2008)_ (qv) (working with 'Jim Carrey' (qv) and 'Steve Carell' (qv)).In television, Laura was recently a series regular for two seasons on FearNet Channel's _Holliston (2012)_ (qv), a horror sitcom created by 'Adam Green' (qv). She has guest starred on ABC's _Happy Endings (2011)_ (qv), Fox's _In Justice (2006)_ (qv), Showtime's _Sleeper Cell (2005)_ (qv), Nickelodeon's _Drake & Josh (2004)_ (qv), and the Comedy Central pilot, Nightrider. In 2012, she guest starred in the ABC sitcom pilot, _Happy Valley (2012)_ (qv) and in 2013, she played 'Rupert Grint' (qv)'s love interest in the CBS pilot _Super Clyde (2013)_ (qv) (from 'Gregory Thomas Garcia' (qv), creator of _Raising Hope (2010)_ (qv) and _My Name Is Earl (2005)_ (qv)).Laura is also a series regular voice on the Disney Channel animation, _Fish Hooks (2010)_ (qv) and has voiced multiple characters for Adult Swim's _Robot Chicken (2005)_ (qv).
