Joshua J. Ballard

'Joshua J. Ballard' (qv) has come a long way from his Pert commercial at the tender age of two where he appeared in a Speedo with other muscle-bound men.His next appearance of note was in a stage production of 'Grease' at the age of five.Josh has appeared in several voice-overs and is the voice of Mune in the animated feature of the same name.He is also an accomplished singer and dancer; He won Best Junior Vocal at the Kiwanis Festival in 2007, 2009, and 2012 and was the winner of Junior Song & Dance at the Shine Festival in 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2012. Josh is a founding member of the OTW Hip Hop Crew and was the back-up dancer for 'My Name Is Kay' (qv) at the WE festival, a back-up dancer for 'Marianas Trench' (qv), and a dancer in Disney's Desiree music video.His film _Becoming Redwood (2012)_ (qv) won the Audience Award for Most Popular Canadian Film as well as Honourable Mention for Best Canadian Feature Film at the 2012 Vancouver Film Festival.Ballard has a recurring role in Dreamworks' _Falling Skies (2011)_ (qv), a series lead on 'Gumboot Kids', supporting roles in _White Noise 2: The Light (2007)_ (qv) and _When Calls the Heart (2013)_ (qv), as well as guest leads in _R.L.
