Oryan Landa

'Oryan Landa' (qv) (pronounced "O'Ryan") is an actor based in New York City. Although born and raised around the mountains and lakes of the Pacific Northwest, he also lived in China, Belgium, and five other states before to moving to New York. His ancestry is both Spanish-Mexican (mother's side) and mixed-European (father's side).Starting college as a Philosophy major, Oryan quickly discovered a passion for acting in an acting class with 'Nina Roman' (qv) at Western Washington University. He went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Drama and Mass Communication from Arizona State University. After a few years teaching High School English & Theater in Austin, TX, he returned his focus to acting - working in TV & film in Texas and the Southeast. But after a summer program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhattan he decided to make New York City his home.In addition to working on-camera, Oryan has done immersive theater events with HBO, Netflix, Giant Spoon, and MyCoToo - starting with the Westworld and Game of Thrones Activations at SXSW in 2018 and 2019. On stage he has recently appeared in The Laramie Project and Stories We Tell to Night at the Times Square Arts Center and Hudson Theater in New York City.On the commercial & voice over side, Oryan has booked many national commercials for brands such as Juicy Juice, Spectrum, Ford, and Nestle Crunch among others, and he is the voice behind the Nad & Tad videos for the Testicular Cancer Foundation.Behind the camera, Oryan has worked as a casting assistant on such films as Avatar 2 & 3 (James Cameron), and Song to Song (Terrence Malick). He's also worked as an On-Set Tutor working with child actors in entertainment, and has taught high school Drama in both New York City and Austin, TX.Outside of Entertainment, Oryan is also a certified teacher in English and English as a Second Language and spent 6 months teaching Kindergarten in China. He's also an ambassador for The Miracle Foundation after volunteering at an orphanage in India in 2014, and he speaks conversational French after spending a year as an exchange student in Liege, Belgium. Today he continues to live in New York City, and has not been married 3 times despite rumors.::Anonymous
