Ginger T. Rex

Balance is as essential in life as it is in performance. Ginger Rex holds equal parts soft and strong in her presence. She is open, kind, resilient, and has genuine ability and desire to connect with people. On set, she is the one who leads with positive energy. She's intelligent and resourceful. She has a simple, subtle performance style. Ginger is able to access her emotions, explore them, and bring a natural, nuanced performance to her work.With limited opportunities during the Covid lock-down, Ginger allowed herself to do something she never tried before. She lined up at a cattle call audition. The call was for a pilot shot in rural Colorado, directed by award-winning director, Felix Alcalá. After four hours of waiting in the mountain summer sun, along with hundreds of talented people from all over the country, Ginger was cast for the role of Dottie in the pilot for Badwater. Badwater is a microphone for Native voices, and a love letter to a rural community transitioning from a resource-based economy to one that's capitalizing on the astounding natural beauty of the American Southwest. She looks forward to the development of her role in the coming episodes and developing in her most important role as a human being.::Tara Darough
