'Alan Ruck' (qv) was born on July 1, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio, and has made over 100 appearances in films and television, and on stage. He is best known for his role as the friend of 'Matthew Broderick' (qv) and hopeless hypochondriac Cameron Frye, in 'John Hughes' (qv)'s _Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)_ (qv).During the 1980s he appeared in films such as _Class (1983)_ (qv) with 'Rob Lowe' (qv) and 'Andrew McCarthy' (qv) and _Three for the Road (1987)_ (qv) with 'Charlie Sheen' (qv). The 1990s included _Young Guns II (1990)_ (qv) with 'Emilio Estevez' (qv) and 'Lou Diamond Phillips' (qv), _Star Trek: Generations (1994)_ (qv), _Speed (1994)_ (qv) with 'Keanu Reeves' (qv) and _Twister (1996)_ (qv) (the latter two films are directed by 'Jan de Bont' (qv)).Ruck's television appearances include _Tales from the Crypt (1989)_ (qv) opposite Lou Diamond Philips, _Mad About You (1992)_ (qv) with 'Helen Hunt' (qv) (his co-star in Twister), and _Spin City (1996)_ (qv) with Michael J.
