Ivana Shein

'Ivana Shein' (qv) is a Canadian playwright and actor. She was selected to perform at The Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, and went on to stage her one woman play, Faking It at Just For Laughs. Emmy nominee Richard J. Lewis (Westworld, CSI) directed Ms. Shein in a subsequent production at The Comedy Central stage in Los Angeles. Her short play, Single, produced by LA's IAMA Theatre Company, was directed by The Blacklist's Amir Arison. Her full length play, The Lovers about a couple who are obsessed with Chagall and Bella's eternal kiss is being developed by The Company Theatre in Toronto. Ms. Shein has also acted in numerous television and web series, short and feature films and currently recurs on Shonda Rhimes Station 19 as Mama Bishop. She is a second generation playwright. Her father Brian Shein wrote numerous plays as well as humor articles for Mad Magazine. She is a graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada where two playwrights are selected each year to attend.::Anonymous
