David Keith

David Lemuel Keith was born on May 8, 1954 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the son of Lemuel Grady Keith Jr. and Hilda Earle. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theater. Keith had a supporting role in _The Rose (1979)_ (qv) starring 'Bette Midler' (qv), had a supporting role in _Brubaker (1980)_ (qv), and co-starred with 'Richard Gere' (qv) in _An Officer and a Gentleman (1982)_ (qv). He played a local thug in _The Great Santini (1979)_ (qv), starred in _The Lords of Discipline (1983)_ (qv) and _White of the Eye (1987)_ (qv), and held a prominent supporting role opposite 'Matthew McConaughey' (qv) in _U-571 (2000)_ (qv). He played opposite 'Drew Barrymore' (qv) in the science fiction horror film _Firestarter (1984)_ (qv), and opposite 'Brooke Shields' (qv) and 'Martin Sheen' (qv) in _Leoparden in Gefahr (1995)_ (qv).Keith played 'Elvis Presley' (qv) in 'Chris Columbus' (qv)' _Heartbreak Hotel (1988)_ (qv), the cowboy "Boo-Hoo" Boone in 'Frank Oz' (qv)'s _The Indian in the Cupboard (1995)_ (qv), and the leading role of Nate Springfield in the horror film _Hangman's Curse (2003)_ (qv). He also co-starred in the sitcom _The Class (2006)_ (qv) as Yonk Allen, a retired professional football player. He has appeared in the horror remake _Carrie (2002)_ (qv), _Daredevil (2003)_ (qv), _Raise Your Voice (2004)_ (qv) starring 'Hilary Duff' (qv), and _Expiration Date (2006)_ (qv). He has also appeared on the television series _Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)_ (qv), _Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001)_ (qv), _CSI: Miami (2002)_ (qv), _NCIS (2003)_ (qv), and _Hawaii Five-0 (2010)_ (qv).
