He is an actor, producer and director known for the Showtime Emmy Award winning movie _Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005)_ (qv) with 'Kristen Bell' (qv), the gay romantic comedy _Trick (1999)_ (qv) with 'Tori Spelling' (qv), as well as the HBO series _True Detective (2014)_ (qv) and _Big Love (2006)_ (qv).
