K Callan

Born in Dallas, Texas, 'K Callan' (qv)'s first professional job was at the Margo Jones Theatre. She first gained national attention as 'Peter Boyle' (qv)'s mousy wife in the legendary _Joe (1970)_ (qv). Her career includes film, television and theater. Other memorable films include _American Gigolo (1980)_ (qv) and _A Touch of Class (1973)_ (qv). A regular guest star in countless television movies and series, her favorite television roles include the lesbian Veronica in the Emmy-winning "Cousin Liz" episode of _All in the Family (1971)_ (qv), Superman's mom on _Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993)_ (qv) and the wife of an Alzheimer's patient on _Nip/Tuck (2003)_ (qv).Callan is a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Television Academy and is a past Board Member of the Screen Actors Guild.
