Kali Veronica

Born and raised in Spanish Harlem on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Kali grew up surrounded by the energy of the city. She attended Catholic school, where she spent six years in the choir. It was there that she first fell in love with performance-whether through music or theater, being on stage felt like home. Acting quickly became a passion, and from a young age, she knew she wanted to be a performer. Raised by a single mother, a fierce and skilled martial artist, Kali was taught strength, discipline, and perseverance. Her father was also a martial artist, but it was her mother who played the biggest role in shaping her life. She worked tirelessly to provide, instilling in Kali the belief that stability came from a 9-to-5 job. Following that path, Kali became a teacher's aide, working in education for seven years before transitioning to an assistant role for two more. She pursued a college education in teaching, believing it was the practical choice. Even while working in education, her love for theater never faded. She participated in productions as a hobby, finding every opportunity to step onto the stage. But when her mother's health declined, she made the difficult decision to step away from acting to take care of her and her family. After her mother's passing, Kali took on an even greater responsibility-raising her 13-year-old niece, whom both she and her mother had cared for. With the weight of responsibility on her shoulders, she continued working as a teacher's assistant to make ends meet. But something inside her longed for more. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything. Watching so many people lose their lives-along with their dreams and plans for the future-forced Kali to reflect. She didn't want to look back one day, filled with regret over never having pursued what she truly loved. That realization became a turning point: it was time to return to acting. One of Kali's greatest inspirations has always been Christopher Lee-a man who dedicated his entire life to his craft, acted well into his 90s, released a heavy metal album in his later years, and worked until the very end. That was the dream. To live a life filled with passion, determination, and creativity until the last breath. And so, Kali is now back on the path she was always meant to follow. Her story is still being written, but this time, she's making sure she's the one holding the pen.
