Paul Butterworth

May 2020. I trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama from 1974 to 1977 and have an acting career spanning over 40 years. I have featured in dozens of TV shows and was awarded 'Best cast in a movie' in 1997 by SAG for Playing Barry in The Full Monty.Currently I play Michael Ellacott in the J.K.Rowling TV series Strike. The series stars Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger, I play Holliday's dad. The next episode is Lethal White airing on the BBC and HBO Cinemax in the Autumn of 2020.I'm a BAFTA film voting member.Outside of acting I have a Combined Studies degree from Leeds Polytechnic (English and History) and am currently a distance learning student in my DipHE year studying for my BA (Hons) Painting with the University for the Creative Arts/Open College of the Arts and am selling my paintings locally, nationally and worldwide.::'Paul Butterworth' (qv)
