Mitra Ghamsari, Iranian movie and theater actress, received her Bachelor degree in Dramatic Literature from Tehran's Faculty of All Dramatic Arts in 1973. She started her acting career in Edward Bond's "The narrow road to the deep north" Directed by Maryam Khalvati. Thereafter she became a permanent member of Theater Workshop Established (1969-1979). She left Iran in 1988 and lived in Toronto Canada for a few years where she started teaching acting in a cultural center established by a group of exiled artists headed by Abas Javanmard (1928-2012), and finally came to US and has been since living in New York. She has worked with world-renowned directors such as Assurbanipal Babilla and Shirin Neshat.
