Rossano Brazzi

'Rossano Brazzi' (qv) was an Italian stage and film actor. He was married to 'Lydia Brazzi' (qv) until her death, and to Ilse Fischer, his second wife, until his death.His first break into films came in 1942, when 'Zarah Leander' (qv)'s film studio was casting for a leading man to play opposite Leander in the film _Damals (1943)_ (qv) (At That Time, Le Foyer Perdu).He's most familiar to English-speaking audiences for his role as Emile De Becque in _South Pacific (1958)_ (qv), playing opposite 'Mitzi Gaynor' (qv).He died in Rome of complications following a neural virus, on December 24, 1994.::Rudi Polt / rudipolt@aol.com
