Steve Brand

'Steve Brand' (qv) is an Emmy Award-winning film and television producer whose feature documentary Kaddish, about growing up as the child of a Holocaust survivor, was selected for New Directors/New Films, won a Special Jury Award for Documentary at Sundance and was named one of the 10 Best Films of its year by David Edelstein in the Village Voice. He has been a producer for Now on PBS, MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, ABC 'News' (qv)' 20/20, Downtown and Primetime Live, Religion & Ethics 'News' (qv)weekly and CBS 'News' (qv)' Street Stories. His independent work has been shown theatrically throughout the United States and abroad, as well as on home and web video. A four time Emmy nominee, he is the recipient of two Cine Golden Eagles, two Angel 'Awards' (qv), two Gold Camera 'Awards' (qv) from the U.S. International Film and Video Festival and a World Media Festival Award.
