Born in Bristol, England, Veronica is the older sister of the popular child actress 'Angela Cartwright' (qv). In her early career, Veronica was cast in a number of popular movies such as 'William Wyler' (qv)'s _The Children's Hour (1961)_ (qv), _Spencer's Mountain (1963)_ (qv) and 'Alfred Hitchcock' (qv)'s _The Birds (1963)_ (qv). As such, she was cast as "Jemima Boone" in the popular television series _Daniel Boone (1964)_ (qv), which ran from 1964 to 66. Her career after "Daniel Boone" may have been influenced by Hitchcock, since she appeared in both the remake of _Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)_ (qv) and the horror classic _Alien (1979)_ (qv). On television, she appeared twice as Lumpy's younger sister, "Violet Rutherford" and once as "Peggy MacIntosh" on _Leave It to Beaver (1957)_ (qv) and had a small role in the television movie _Still the Beaver (1983)_ (qv).Cartwright also appeared in _Robert Kennedy and His Times (1985)_ (qv), _Tanner '88 (1988)_ (qv) and had a recurring role on _L.A. Law (1986)_ (qv). Her big screen features included _The Right Stuff (1983)_ (qv), _Flight of the Navigator (1986)_ (qv) and _The Witches of Eastwick (1987)_ (qv). Veronica worked on the stage in "Electra", "Talley's Folly", "Homesteaders", "Butterflies are Free" and "The Triplet Connection".
